In order for a sundeck to look its best and for it to be enjoyed by your family for many years to come, it needs to be installed following a specific procedure. Hallmark Sundecks have a five-step process for the installation of our top-quality sundecks.
1) The first step begins, as any project does, with the customer initiating contact with our company. An appointment is scheduled with one of our highly qualified surveyors. During this consultation, the surveyor will provide an expert guide to helping the customer select the optimal deck design based on their unique preferences. In order for this to be a success, various factors must be taken into consideration including shape, size, colours, materials, and groundwork planning.
2) Should the customer’s property be situated in a holiday home park, a hurdle must be overcome before any design can be confirmed. To relieve any stress, our team will take full responsibility for obtaining approval from the park management team. Hallmark Sundecks will ensure that all the necessary and relevant rules and regulations are adhered to throughout the installation process.
3) Once a design has been discussed and approved with the customer our team will provide a quote for the work and a deposit will need to be paid. Usually, the deposit will be equivalent to 30% of the project cost. Once this has been completed, a mutually agreed-upon start date is confirmed.
4) Subsequently, the manufacturing process will begin with the installation of the subframes, balustrades, posts, and steps. All deck boards will be altered and cut to size at our workshop facility.
5) Following the successful completion of the decking installation, the remaining balance of payment is due and should be promptly settled.
